The US Embassy has presented medical equipment valued at 9,000 dollars towards the opening of community reproductive health centre at Ekumfi Ekrofo.
Ms Kathy Atkinson, a representative of the embassy, said the donation was at the request of Hope for Future Generation, a non-governmental
organisation in Ghana that helped the community to build the facility.
She said provision of the equipment formed part of the social responsibility of the embassy.
The items include examination couch, delivery set, delivery trolley, cheatla forceps, weighing scales, thermometer clinical, BP equipment, foetal stethoscope, drip stands, microscope and malarial test strips.
Mr Eric Senya Pongo, the Director of the NGO, and Nana Seyiwa II, Queenmother of the town, received the items and expressed their appreciation to the donors.
