The Public Affairs Unit of the Eastern Regional Police Command has appealed to the public to help identify the family of a dead man found floating on river Beyera near New Tafo on April 23, this year.
The deceased, who was found naked in the river, is five-feet and eight inches tall, dark in complexion and believed to be an Akan of about 30 years old.
The Police, who told the Ghana News Agency on Friday, said families whose relations left home on or before Friday April 23, this year and had not returned should contact the New Tafo Police for identification and collection of the body.
The body is currently at the Police Hospital mortuary in Accra awaiting autopsy.
In another development, the Unit had also appealed to the public to help identify an adult male believed to be a lunatic, who died in a motor accident at Sukutu, a village near Asamankese on the Asamankese-Suhum highway.
The deceased, about 40 years, is fair in complexion and about 1.60 meters tall. He died in an accident on April 19, this year at about 12:15pm.
The Police said the families and relatives could contact the Asamankese Police for identification and collection of the body.
