The Presiding Member of the Nkoranza District Assembly Mr. Adjei Yeboah has deplored the attitude of some people to discriminate against people living with HIV/AIDS and called for a halt "since every one is at risk."<br><br>A 10-member community-based organization (CBO) with the name 'in God we trust HIV/AIDS' campaign groups at Kranka in Nkoranza district of Brong-Ahafo. The Organisation has Mr. Abdulai Yaw Adu as chairman, Mr. Opoku Antwi, Vice-Chairman, Paa Kwasi Oscar, Secretary and Miss Evylin Pomaa, Treasurer. Mr. Yeboah called on teachers to educate students on the causes and effects of the pandemic to make them more aware of the menace and to enable them guard against it.<br> <br>He advised the people to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). The Presiding member advised them to avoid practices that could mar the impending December elections and to promote peace and understanding amongst them. Mr. Solomon Obeng-Danquah, District HIV/AIDS Monitoring and Evaluation Focal Person urged members of the Organisation to reach out to the people in their homes and educate them on the pandemic and also to counsel victims to make them feel happy in life.<br><br>In a welcoming address, the Assemblywoman of the area Miss Patricia Konadu urged the youth to desist from pre-marital and illicit sex and to guard against HIV/AIDS. Miss Konadu called on the people to support people living with the disease by providing them with meals as well as caring for them.<br><br> Nana Okofo Ofori Amisare V111 Akwamuhene of Nkoranza Traditional Area, who presided, called on the people to advise themselves about the disease from the education and lessons received at the function to save their lives.
