Abena Rockstar in 2017 got her song ‘Abena’ studied at the Department of African Studies at the Howard University, Washington, DC.
The artiste will be releasing a new project this year after her successful ‘May All Fears Abort’ EP in 2017.
When Abena Rockstar was contacted and asked how she felt about getting a spotlight on the Swedish National Television, she said “It meant a lot of goodness when the brand is growing gradually and getting the needed attention locally and internationally”.
In addition, she said, “last year was a higher education institution like Howard University studying a song of mine and this year Swedish national television. This new successful feast goes to the loyal fans who have always believed in the brand Abena Rockstar from day one”.
She said she would continue to produce good songs for her fans and added that “my team will be releasing visuals for one of the most downloaded songs off the MAFIA EP ‘Skin Pain’ soon, so fans should keep following all my social media pages (Abena Rockstar) and official website (www.abenarockstar.com)”.
She, however, stressed on the need for Ghanaians to support the arts industry irrespective of the medium they are operating because when the dots are connected, all forms of arts come together in making any society progressive.
