Golden Bean Hotel has donated to two orphanage homes in Kumasi as part of activities to commemorate its 10th anniversary celebrations.
The beneficiaries, Remar Ghana Orphanage Home and the Perfect Peace Orphanage Home, received sets of bed linens, towels, detergents, hot meals and packs of water.
It was all joy and smiles on the faces of inmates at the Remar Ghana Orphanage Home and the Perfect Peace Orphanage Home when the management team and staff of the Golden Bean Hotel handed over the items.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Perfect Peace Foundation, which operates the orphanage, Mary Bonsu, and the Mother of the Remar Ghana, Irene Ammisah, received the items on behalf of their respective homes.
They both expressed gratitude to the hotel for its continued support, stating that the hotel regularly provided such assistance and called on corporate bodies and individuals to emulate this example.
Speaking to the media, the General Manager of Golden Bean Hotel, Randy Attuquaye Clottey, emphasised the importance of giving back to society, especially to orphanages, which he described as particularly vulnerable.
He acknowledged that the journey over the past decade had not been without challenges, but strategic positioning in the Ashanti Region had been key to their success.
The hotel, which started with eight rooms, now boasts of 51 rooms and has plans for further expansion with support from the board and its parent company, the Produce Buying Company (PBC).
“Golden Bean Hotel is a place to visit. Services here are affordable. We don’t extort from guests. Value for money is what we constantly invest in. As our slogan goes, ‘hospitality beyond expectations’ is rest assured,” Mr Clottey stated.
The Sales and Marketing Manager of the hotel, Maame Ama Asantewaa Adjem, in an interview, expressed joy as the hotel reached this significant milestone.
She highlighted the importance of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, emphasising that helping the less fortunate was a core value of the hotel.
“Celebrating the entire 10th anniversary with staff, guests, partners, board/management, and our mother company, the PBC, is gratifying. We won’t rest on our oars but will continue to give our best service,” Mrs Adjem stated.
Celebrating a decade of excellence, on the theme: “Celebrating 10 Years of Excellent Hospitality”, the hotel has organised various activities to mark the milestone.
They included a float through the principal streets of Kumasi, a dinner to appreciate stakeholders for their support and loyalty, as well as inter-departmental games to boost staff morale and foster unity.
The hotel also organised a health screening exercise and invited the public to join its staff in donating units of blood to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital blood bank.
