Description
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data to management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Analyze financial performance and variances, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Accounting Operations:
- Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and payroll processing.
- Monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates on variances and trends.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement and make recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and ROI analysis.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management as required.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to financial processes and reporting.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through appropriate controls and monitoring mechanisms.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to finance/accounting staff, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to promote productivity and professional growth.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure workload distribution aligns with team capabilities and priorities.
