Ms Samia Yaba Nkrumah, Chairperson of the Convention People's Party (CPP), on Thursday elaborated some measures being taken to revamp the party after its dismal performance in Election 2012.
A statement signed by Nii Armah Akomfrah, CPP Director of Communications and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the revamping exercise dubbed "The 5 -Point Plan," will be tabled before the Central Committee of the party for discussion,.
The statement said the National Leader would also hold consultation with the membership of the party and the National Executive Council to deliberate on the agenda.
The 5-Point Plan includes a total restructuring, re-branding, strengthening party education, renewed activism, internal financial re-organization, Nkrumaist unity, and greater international re-connection.
According to the statement, the Party contested Election 2012 seeking to use it to serve as part of its renewal process. "Many of our candidates who ran are in their twenties and thirties and they now form the new vanguard of the Party".
The statement said the leadership of the party believed that the youth should now take centre stage in all affairs of the Party.
