The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is to organize a protest march in Kumasi on Tuesday to denounce what it alleged was the manipulation of the outcome of the December 7, general election.
It has been dubbed "Justice March" and according to the party's Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr Fredrick Fredua Antoh, its supporters and sympathizers from across all the 37 constituencies would gather at the regional capital.
They would begin the march at exactly 0700 hours from all the major entry points to Kumasi, through the principal streets to the Regional Office of the Electoral Commission (EC) where they would present a petition.
The marchers would later converge at the Abbey's Park - Ashtown, to be addressed by the party's leadership.
Mr Antoh said they wanted to let the world to know about the unfairness of the election results announced by Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan, and the "lazy work" done by the EC.
He said even though there was the need for peace to prevail in the country, justice and fairness were the pre-requisites for peace.
Mr Antoh said revelations from the auditing of the electoral results by his party indicated massive fraud in the collation of the poll results from the polling centres in favour of the NDC presidential candidate.
The NPP, he said, would continue to pursue the issue until justice was done, he said, and called on all those who believed in justice, free and fair elections to join the march on Tuesday morning.
