Nana Attah Yaw Kwaakwah II, Mankrado of Coaltar, has called on politicians to be civil and use polite language as the campaign to the December elections enters its final phase.
Nana Kwaakwah II said the use of insults creates tension and called for "peace talk" amongst groups in the localities to educate the people against unguarded utterances that could create problems or tensions in the coming elections.
The Mankrado, who was speaking at a "Peace Talk" meeting organised by Adeambra Biako Ye Kuo of Marfukrom near Coaltar in the Ayensuono District, said politicians should be reprimanded when they use abusive languages in their campaigns and urged the people to ignore such abusive ones.
Nana Asiedu Amoah, Nkorsuohene of Marfukrom and the Chairman of the Association, said the aim of the group was to organise the youth in the community to undertake some farming activities with the proceeds to support the schooling of poor but brilliant children in the area.
Nana Amoah said they also use some of the money to buy items for donation to the hospitals and orphanage homes.
He said the Peace Talk initiative would be extended to other communities around Marfukrom in the district to imbue the sense of comportment into the people till the time of the December 2012 Election.
