The Kpone-Katamanso Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Saturday launched its campaign with a call on members to unite.
Mr Samuel Okoe Amanquah, the NPP parliamentary candidate for the constituency said the NPP could only wrest the constituency seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) through unity and commitment.
Mr Amanquah therefore pleaded with members to forget their grievances in order to concentrate on intensifying the party's campaign in the constituency.
The parliamentary candidate gave the assurance that the NPP was seriously working towards ending the 16 years reign of the NDC in the constituency.
While encouraging party faithful to embark on a house-to-house campaign, he called on the electorate to appreciate the good policies of the NPP and maintain them in power during the December 7 general elections.
Mr Peterson Quarcofio, Constituency Chairperson of the party stated that the constituency executive was prepared to sacrifice their resources towards winning the seat for the party.
Mr Quarcofio added that, to achieve this aim, they have divided the constituency into eight zones for easy accessibility noting that committees including planning, media, financial and operations have also been formed.
Mr Daniel Titus Glover, Former Tema West Constituency parliamentary aspirant also reiterated the need for unity, observing that, "it has come to
our notice that some of the NPP members in the constituency are supporting the independent candidate."
He therefore urged them to unite, support and promote the visions of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the party's flag bearer as well as the parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
Mr. Glover also advised the youth not to allow any political party to use them for its selfish ambitions.
