Mr Adamu Acheampong, popularly known as "Medemafo Tease," Chairman of the Techiman branch of the Ghana National Association of Garages, has appealed to the leadership of political parties to promote peace and stability.
He said leaders would be doing a great disservice to the nation if they failed to educate their supporters on political tolerance.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in Techiman, Mr Acheampong called on members of political parties to tolerate each other's views and to cultivate the culture of forgiveness and patience adding that this would demonstrate their political maturity.
The chairman noted that it was only when political leaders observed those qualities that Ghana would be an attractive point for investors to do business.
Mr Acheampong expressed concern about how leaders of political parties, instead of addressing issues, rather attacked each other on platforms.
He urged the electorate to advocate for peace and unity in the country, irrespective of their political affiliation, and appealed to the religious leaders to spearhead the crusade against political intolerance.
