New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice Presidential nominee Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, arrives in Tamale on Tuesday to begin a seven-day visit to the three northern regions, a statement by the campaign said on Tuesday.
The statement, signed by Dr Arthur Kobina Kennedy, Communications director of the campaign, said Dr Bawumia's visit was to introduce himself to the chiefs and people of the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions and ask for their blessings.
Dr Bawumia would also preach "our Party's vision for the future of Ghana and seek the support of the peoples".
The statement said while in the north for this introductory visit, Dr Bawumia would meet religious leaders, Party members and other groups.
Dr Bawumia will be in a team led by the National Party Chairman, Peter MacManu and the National Campaign Chairman, Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey.
The entourage would include Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, National Campaign Director; Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo, a member; Mr Boniface Abubakar Saddique, Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing; Mr Yoni Kulendi, a Special Aide and ace Ghanaian musician, Daddy Lumba.
