CEO of Nations FC Kennedy Boakye Ansah has called on the Black Stars technical team to consider defender Razak Simpson for a national team recall ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Simpson last featured for Ghana in May 2025 during the Unity Cup third-place playoff, where he scored his maiden international goal against Trinidad and Tobago.
Speaking to Citi Sports, Ansah highlighted the defender’s discipline, commitment, and consistency as key factors behind his strong performances.

“I’m pretty sure Razak was one of the reasons they came- not only to watch him but also to assess some of the other talents we have.”
“We know his quality, we know what he can deliver for the national team, and we know what he’s made of. He’s a very solid player who can compete at the highest level globally,
Simpson is expected to play a key role for Nations FC as they push for success in both the MTN FA Cup quarterfinals and the Ghana Premier League, with the club chasing what could be its first major silverware.
