Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu says Ghana should show that it is a bigger football nation than Comoros when the nations face off this weekend.
Ghana take on the island nation on Sunday, October 12 at 19:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group I final qualifier.
Comoros have delivered a handful of shock results to beat Ghana in recent years with The Coelacanths beating the Black Stars 3-2 to eliminate the Black Stars from the 2021 AFCON and clinching a 1-0 win in the first 2024 World Cup qualifier between the teams.
Despite all but qualifying to next year’s World Cup thanks to a big 5-0 win over Central African Republic, Agyemang-Badu believes that recent failings should get Ghana to teach Comoros a lesson.
“They have been a thorn in our flesh and we want to teach them that we are a football nation more than them.”

“It will be a very exciting game, a celebration game and we are going to beat them” he said in an exclusive interview with Channel One TV.
