Christophe De Jenlis has earned the honour of representing Accra in the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup Grand Finals in Türkiye after an impressive victory at the Achimota Golf Club.
De Jenlis clinched the champion’s position with a score of 42 points in the Accra leg of the tournament, which is celebrated as the world’s largest corporate golf competition.
The event marked the 100th tournament of the 118-stop Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup 2024 series, which brings together over 8,000 players in 67 countries.
De Jenlis will now join the finalists from around the world for a luxurious week at the Gloria Serenity Resort and Gloria Golf Club on Türkiye’s scenic Golf Coast, where he will compete for the overall title later this year.
Turkish Airlines General Manager in Ghana, Aytekin Serbest, praised De Jenlis for his victory and expressed appreciation for all attendees.
“We warmly thank all of our guests who made the Turkish Airlines World Golf Cup here in Accra a huge success. Once again, it was a thrilling tournament in the TAWGC series. Congratulations to our winner, Christophe De Jenlis. We wish him the best of luck in Türkiye.”
The Achimota event saw Ama Morgan finish as runner-up and Ashish Ram Mathema take third place. Other achievements included Prince Awuley and Vastie Amoafo-Yeboah winning the Closest to the Pin competition, while Christopher Mbii posted the lowest gross score of 69.
De Jenlis and fellow finalists will enjoy the comfort of Turkish Airlines’ Business Class as they travel to the Grand Finals, supported by Gloria Hotels & Resorts and Ruck & Maul.
