The Ghana Fencing Association (GFA) has recently announced an exciting sponsorship agreement with Japan Motors, which will cover the air travel expenses for four athletes participating in the upcoming World Senior Fencing Championships in Milan, Italy.
The championship, scheduled to take place from July 20 to 30, 2023, holds significant importance as it serves as part of the qualifying process for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Mr. Mohammed Mahadi, President of the Ghana Fencing Association, shared this exciting news during an interview with GraphicOnline.
He expressed his gratitude to Japan Motors, particularly the Executive Director, Nouhad Kalmoni, for their timely and generous support. The sponsorship will immensely benefit the athletes as they prepare to compete on the global stage.
This sponsorship follows a previous collaboration between Japan Motors and the GFA during the African Fencing Championships. Japan Motors' unwavering support allowed talented fencers from across Africa to participate in the championship, providing a platform for them to showcase their skills and promote sportsmanship.
