Ospreys welcome back Alun Wyn Jones, Justin Tipuric and George North for their European Challenge Cup last-16 tie against Newcastle Falcons.

Nicky Smith, Adam Beard and Owen Watkin also start having returned from Wales duty.

Argentina centre Matias Orlando returns for Newcastle while Tom Penny is named at full-back.

Trevor Davison, George McGuigan, Logovi'i Mulipola and Greg Peterson also return to Dean Richards' side.

Veteran Ospreys fly-half Stephen Myler remains on the sidelines with a chest injury meaning Luke Price - who makes his 50th appearance for the region - will start at 10.

North is picked on the wing despite shining during the Six Nations at centre.

Newcastle have slipped to 10th in the Gallagher Premiership having lost last four straight games ahead of their trip to the Liberty Stadium, while Ospreys come into the game on the back of an impressive Pro14 victory at Leinster.

Ospreys head coach Toby Booth said: "If you look at the Six Nations win we have a lot of players who were in good form for Wales.

"We also have a lot of players who put their hands up and performed exceptionally well not just last week but throughout the Six Nations period.

"Every coach wants that problem so when you've got to pick a team it becomes more difficult, but I'll take those headaches every day."

Newcastle director of rugby Dean Richards said: "We've got some boys back from injury, and probably some of our more influential boys in terms of leadership.

"It's a knock-out situation now and we're looking forward to that element of it, and just having that slightly different focus.

"Ospreys are a good team, and they're obviously a different side when they get their international boys back."
