The President of the Ghana Olympic Committee(GOC), Ben Nunoo Mensah, held his first meeting with his new team of newly elected executive members at the GOC office yesterday.
Prior to the marathon meeting, the president took the newly elected executive members round to acquaint themselves with offices of the secretariat.
They were taken through the administrative office,the library,the reception, the offices of the president, vice and the treasury office.
The executive members were also introduced to the conference rooms and the visitors room.
Mr Nunoo Mensah lamented the lax security of the secretariat which he says had been broken into more than thrice.
"I eventually have to pack all necessary files to my private office but we are working to make security water-tight, "he informed the new executive members.
He pledged to do more to enhance security and make the GOC office very secure.
In a separate interview, Mr Nunoo Mensah told the Daily Graphic he was focused on seeing through the effective preparation of Ghana's Olympic athletes.
He pledged to work with all national federation heads to make Ghana sports vibrant and a useful tool for national development and cohesion.
