Mr. Mohamed Sahnoon, a lawyer, has been re-elected as the President of the Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF), at an elective congress on Saturday, December 15.
The congress, which was held at the conference hall of the Tamale Sports Stadium, also saw Mr. Dennis Kweku Moore of River Park, Kumasi, retained his position as the Secretary General of the federation.
Mr Ali Umar of Pacesetters Cycling club, also retained his position as the Treasurer, with new executive members, Richard Zigah from Brong Ahafo River Park and Bright Kwasi Nyarko of River Park Eastern Region, going unopposed.
According to a press release from the GCF, the race for the position of Vice President and one executive member, was rescheduled.
It said, elections for the two positions would be held by December 29.
The GCF, was recently engaged in a legal tussle after a group of members placed an injunction on the Congress.
However, due to the intervention of the Vice President of the Union Cycling International - UCI and President of the Confederation of the African Cycling, Dr. Waggih Azzam, both parties smoked peace pipe paving the way for elections.
