Asanteman Amputee FC, winners of the 2017/2018 Amputee Football League on Tuesday presented the trophy to the chairman of AsantiGold Football Club, Dr Kweku Frimpong.
The Asanteman Amputee FC, who paid a courtesy visit to the Dr. Frimpong were accompanied by the Ashanti Regional Badminton team, who also 21 medals for Ghana, at the Badminton International Championship in Uganda over the past few weeks.
Dr. Frimpong expressed delight over the honour they have brought to the country and urged them to do more despite their challenges.
"I must say you are doing well. You have brought honour to the region and I urge potential athletes to join you on your future course and keep of the streets," Dr. Frimpong stated.
He added that, there would be a need for corporate Ghana to come on board and support the activities of the physically challenges, as lack support would certainly put them back on streets.
The Asanteman Amputee team and the Para Badminton team also paid a visit to the Acting Ashanti Regional Sports Director, Mr. Edmund Apppiah and presented the trophy and medals to him.
