Turning Point: The Hornets appeared to be rolling when a Frank Kaminsky trey from the right side capped a 13-4 Charlotte run to tie the game, 94-94, with 3:05 remaining. Unfortunately the Hornets would shoot 0-7 from the field the rest of the way, including 0-of-5 from outside the arc and 0-of-2 from the free-throw line as the Bucks locked in defensively in the last three minutes to hold Charlotte scoreless. Milwaukee did its damage primarily from the charity stripe, where the Bucks knocked down their last six free throws to secure the victory. Milwaukee closed the game on a 9-0 run, including a key Khris Middleton three with 43 seconds left to make it a two-possession game.

Hornets Player of the Game: Dwight Howard owned the glass, bringing down a game-high 22 rebounds, and challenged Emeka Okafor’s franchise-best 25 grabbed on Dec. 29, 2006… It was the first game for a Charlotte player with 20+ rebounds since Al Jefferson did so on Dec. 28, 2013… Howard now has 52 rebounds through three games, the most for a player through three games in franchise history (previously Derrick Coleman with 40 in 1998-99)… Howard became the first Charlotte player with three-straight 15-rebound games since Al Jefferson did so from April 4-9, 2014… With seven offensive boards, Howard also became the first Charlotte player with 7+ offensive rebounds in a game since Bismack Biyombo on Jan. 10, 2015… Howard also added eight points, blocked four shots and handed out an assist against Milwaukee.

Bucks Player of the Game: Giannis Antetokounmpo continued his red-hot start to the 2017-18 season, recording his fourth-straight 30+ point game with 32 points on 13-of-21 shooting from the field and 6-of-8 shooting from the charity stripe. Antetokounmpo also grabbed 14 rebounds, handed out six assists, blocked two shots and had a steal.

Game Notes: Frank Kaminsky led the Hornets with 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting (3-of-4 from long range) off the bench. Kaminsky also grabbed five rebounds and handed out two assists… Jeremy Lamb notched his third-straight 15+ point game, leading Charlotte’s starters with 17 points to go with nine rebounds… Kemba Walker finished with 15 points on 6-of-15 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. With six made field goals, Walker now has 2,863, moving him ahead of Larry Johnson (2,858) for second all-time in Hornets history for field goals made… With two treys, Marvin Williams is now tied with Raymond Felton for fifth place on the franchise’s all-time 3-point made leaderboard (375)… Johnny O’Bryant III scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds in 14 minutes as a reserve.
