The Eastern African country's football governing chief is upbeat ahead of the Black Stars World Cup qualifying clash on Friday
President of Uganda Football Association Moses Magogo says Ghana cannot dispatch the Cranes when the two countries clash in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Friday.
The visitors had the better side when the two countries met the last time in Namboole in 2014, with Savio Kaburo getting the only goal.
“We respect Ghana a lot but you know games between Ghana and Uganda are a different thing all together and I believe even Ghanaians know how difficult it is playing the Cranes," Mogogo told Starr FM.
“We are determined [to cause an upset], we are not just in to participate but we are in to rather compete.
“Every Ugandan is behind the team and we are sure of a good result on Friday," he added.
Ghana, after making it to the previous three editions of the tournaments, are chasing a fourth successive appearance. However, they must as well surmount Egypt and Congo, who are also in the group.
