Nigeria's former heads of state are scheduled to hold a meeting next week on the situation with President Umaru Yar'Adua still lying ill in Saudi Arabia, the Lagos-based This Day newspaper reported on Saturday.
The planned meeting follows the long absence of President Yar' Adua's in the country for medical treatment in Saudi Arabia.
The gathering will principally center on the current political situation in the country arising from the president's medical condition, which has kept him out of the country since Nov. 23.
President Yar' Adua has been diagnosed of acute pericarditis (an inflammatory condition of the coverings of the heart) in a hospital in Saudi
Arabia.
