Some 130 people were injured in Guinea when protesters calling for a free and fair election clashed with security forces, state television reported Thursday.
The protest march in the capital Conakry on Wednesday was organized by the opposition and came ahead of an election scheduled for May.
The television report quoted Security Minister Maramany Cisse as saying 68 members of the security forces were among the injured and calling for calm.
The government previously said 51 people were injured by stones, among them 23 policemen and 28 civilians.
The security forces fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse the crowd, according to the television.
The protesters had damaged public and private buildings and vehicles, Cisse said.
The opposition said its supporters were beaten in front of the ruling party headquarters.
President Alpha Conde was elected in 2010, but the legislative polls have been delayed four times.
Last week the opposition announced it would boycott the election, saying that the preparations for the poll were flawed.
