The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has snatched the Akuapem South Constituency seat in the Eastern Region from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Lawrencia Dziwornu of the NDC got 15,438 votes, beating Eric Yeboah Apeadu of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who got 15,304.

The incumbent MP for Akuapem South is O.B. Amoah who did not seek re-election.
