She said the party’s presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, had the ideas and vision to continue with the good works of the government.

She has therefore urged the electorate to vote for Dr Bawumia and the party’s parliamentary candidates on December 7, 2024.

Abokobi meeting

Mrs Akufo-Addo made the call when she met market women, female artisans, the aged, widows, persons living with disability (PWDs), drivers among others at Abokobi last Thursday.

She called on the electorate in the Abokobi area to change their voting pattern and vote massively for the NPP in the upcoming December 7 general election as a vote for Dr Bawumia and parliamentary candidate, Michael Aaron Oquaye, would ensure the total development of the Abokobi area and the country as a whole.

She said Dr Bawumia held the blueprint to Free Senior High School (SHS), School Feeding, among other social intervention programmes by the NPP and voting for him would bring about continuity.

Mrs Akufo-Addo promised to lobby for a creche for Abokobi if they deliver a win for the NPP both in the presidential and parliamentary elections. 

Projects

For his part, Mr Oquaye Jnr pledged to bring development to Abokobi and its environs if they vote for him and Dr Bawumia on December 7.

He promised to facilitate the upgrading of the health centre into a polyclinic, build a nurses and doctors quarters, complete work on the Abokobi SHS, complete an ongoing information centre and a borehole for the community.

Earlier, the First Lady paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Abokobi, Nii Samuel Adjetey Mohenu, at his Palace where she thanked the chief and his elders for the faith they had in the NPP party.

Nii Mohenu called on the party to pray continuously for success to come to the party.

According to him, Abokobi was a Christian community which believed in the work of prayers and therefore called on the NPP to also adopt prayer as part of its winning strategy.
