Outspoken Zimbabwean opposition figure Job Sikhala has been released on bail, a month after he was arrested in connection with anti-government protests.

Mr Sikhala was arrested on 21 August and charged with incitement to violence.

He was wanted by police over the 31 July protests.

Mr Sikhala was released on Tuesday on a 50,000 Zimbabwe dollars ($590) bail and ordered to stop posting content online or in WhatsApp groups.

His party the Movement for Democratic Change tweeted:
