In a radio interview with Accra based Okay FM, Thursday morning, [August 8, 2019] Mr Ennin said he was no longer interested in becoming an MP and was preparing to go for the ultimate [President].

He left Parliament on January 6, 2012 after NPP delegates in the Obuasi East constituency rejected his re-election bid in 2011.

The host of Okay FM’s morning programme, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese had called him during the programme which was monitored by Graphic Online to seek his opinion on various issues, one of which was whether he was going to re-contest the NPP primary if the party open nominations.

Mr Ennin in responding said he was no longer interested in becoming an MP and had planned to run for President in 2018.
