The Professional League Board (PLB) has pushed the 21 week GT Premiership fixtures initially scheduled for this weekend to Wednesday August 24.
The change is to afford Ghana's sole representative at the continental front, King Faisal enough support in their Confederation Cup duel against ASFA of Morocco billed for the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Sunday August 21.
A statement signed by Mr Ampin-darko, Deputy General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) said beginning Thursday August 25, the league would go on a nine-day recess to accord the national team " A", Black Stars sufficient preparations ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Uganda slated for Kumasi on Sunday August 4.
It said new dates would be announced for the rest of the matches.
