Henrik Larsson would have been proud of Craig Bellamy's winning goal against Aberdeen, according to Celtic manager Martin O'Neill.
The on-loan Newcastle player fired in a sensational volley to clinch a 3-2 home win on Saturday after the visitors had taken an early two-goal lead.
And the Celtic boss believed the strike was up there with some of the legendary Swedish star's goals for the Parkhead club.
He said: "We have been used to some great goals here. A certain Mr Larsson, who graced this pitch for a long time, scored a lot of great goals, John Hartson has scored some great goals and Bellamy's on Saturday was as good a volley as you are likely to see.
"When you consider the moment he chose to put it in makes it even more special."
O'Neill would clearly love to extend Bellamy's stay in Glasgow, but he acknowledged there would be stiff competition from Europe's top clubs for the six-million-pound Welsh striker.
The Northern Irishman said: "He scored a wonder goal to win against Aberdeen. He will have the pick of teams to choose from at the end of the season.
"A lot of very, very big clubs, both in Britain and on the continent will be desperate to sign Craig Bellamy and I am not surprised, but he's here just now and he's loving it immensely.
"I can't say anything new about our chances of keeping him here beyond the end of the season but we are very glad to have him at the moment."
The win against Aberdeen took Celtic five points clear in the Scottish Premier League, before Rangers away match with Dunfermline on Sunday, but O'Neill believes there is a lot of work still to be done before the SPL title is won.
He said: "There is a long, long way to go before anything is decided, but when we were 2-0 down and Aberdeen were in the ascendancy, defeat looked likely, so I'm just delighted to still be in the title race.
"I know this seems strange since there are only five games left, but the end of the season seems a million miles away."
Celtic had found themselves two goals down to Aberdeen within the first 14 minutes. First, with 10 minutes played, Scott Severin collected the ball wide on the right and played a low cross towards the penalty spot for Zander Diamond to volley past Celtic goalkeeper David Marshall and into the right-hand corner of the net.
And then four minutes later Aberdeen doubled their lead. Scott Muirhead drove down the left-wing, leaving Neil Lennon for dead, and swung the ball low across the face of goal for Darren Mackie to ram home from close range.
Celtic dragged themselves back into the game in the 27th minute when Aiden McGeady's cross was met by Slovakian defender Stanislav Varga who powered a header high into the net.
In the 51st minute they drew level through John Hartson when French wing-back Didier Agathe, who had replaced the injured Joos Valgaeren, played the ball in from the right for the big Welsh international to smash into the net from six-yards.
And five minutes later, the 59,998 crowd inside Celtic Park erupted to acclaim an outstanding goal from Bellamy. Thompson played a deep corner to the Welsh star, standing on the edge of the 18-yard box, and he rattled a right-foot volley into the top left-hand corner of the net.
