Our customers are the very core of our business, and as we grow our company we
know it is important that we continue to invest in modernizing and improving the
network, and we are committed to doing so.
Unfortunately, as we work on optimizing and improving the network, due to
the complexities of technology and other extraneous circumstances, there are
sometimes unexpected challenges that cause network disruptions. We deeply
regret the impact of these challenges and the inconvenience they cause our valued
customers. Most recently some of our customers have experienced disruptions
caused by unintended results of network optimization, fiber cuts and a software
bug encountered in one of our switches. As we express our regret and concern
over these occurrences, it is also important for us to acknowledge and express our
appreciation for the loyalty and patience our customers have shown.
We continue to install fiber-optic cables to improve speed and quality, increase the
number of base transceiver stations to expand coverage, introduce leading edge
blade-cluster switching technology to increase flexibility and capacity in a way
that enables MTN to expand network capacity as traffic grows. We again thank you
for your loyalty and we assure you that we are focused on the journey to continue
making the right investments in advanced technologies to ensure that we provide
Ghanaians with the best of services.
