Receives a whooping GH¢7,000 from Fidelity Bank
The Proprietor of the New Horizon School has expressed gratitude to Fidelity Bank for donating a whooping GH¢ 5,000 towards the development of the school. The Director of the Bank, Mr. Edward Effah, also made a generous personal donation of GH¢ 2000. Mrs Salome Francois said this kind gesture by Fidelity Bank towards the school ‘is just what we have been waiting for in these past years’.
She noted that the New Horizon School, since its inception in 1972, has been living on funds and donations from individuals and organisations. ‘Thank you Fidelity Bank and God bless you. This assistance will go a long way to help us to provide the needs of the children so that they can also lead satisfying and meaningful lives in the society. With this kind gesture you have extended to us, we are opening an account at Fidelity Bank, the safest place to save our money.
Presentation the GH¢5000 cheque to the Proprietor of the School, the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Mr. Effah said ‘the bank is extending the golden experience to every member of the Ghanaian society including children at the New Horizon School. By this token, New Horizon school has also received the midas touch that is currently touring the whole country with the Fidelity Bank GO FOR GOLD campaign.
In a moving speech, Mr. Effah told the children ‘We are your friends’ and are always happy to see you happy. Thanking the management of the school for their dedication and sacrifice, he further revealed that Fidelity Bank will brand the New Horizon School bus and brand all Fidelity Bank Christmas hampers with pictures of the school.
Prior to the presentation, staff of Fidelity Bank embarked on a walk dubbed GO FOR GOLD Sponsored Walk in aid of the New Horizon School. The colourful event which was led by Management of Fidelity Bank brought together hundreds of people including staff of Fidelity bank, pupils and teachers of New Horizon School and several other interested persons to the forecourt of Ridge Headquarters of the Bank. Starting off from the headquarters of Fidelity bank, participants walked through the streets of Accra amidst drumming and dancing to the New Horizon School where they were entertained by the students in a breathtaking musical performance. Staff of Fidelity was also given a complete tour by officials of the school.
