CIMG Telecommunications Company of the year, Zain Ghana, today launched a partnership with Multichoice Ghana which enables customers to pay their DStv bills through their award winning mobile commerce service ZAP. Today’s announcement adds to the success story of ZAP by allowing customers to pay bills at their own convenience whilst in the comfort of their own homes. Zain customers who subscribe to DStv simply have to send the bill amount to the nickname ‘DSTV’ using their account number as their reference.
Since launching earlier this year, ZAP has successfully penetrated the mobile commerce market with over one million Zain customers registered for the service. Zain customers have enjoyed the safety and convenience of money transfers through over five hundred agent points throughout the country and hundreds of branches of their partner banks Ecobank, UBA and Standard Chartered Bank.
Multichoice Africa are leaders in the premium pay television technology and entertainment and have been offering Africans high quality international and locally tailored entertainment television content since 1995. Their DStv product which offers a range of entertainment packages to suit every Ghanaian and allows subscribers flexibility in price and choice without compromising on quality or variety.

The partnership with Multichoice Ghana is the latest in the many situations were ZAP can replace cash. It is safe, efficient and very convenient.’ He encouraged Zain customers to use make the most of this partnership use the service.
In signing up for the ZAP service, customers will initially be required to register their personal details, with a valid photo ID, at any of the Zain shops nationwide or with any of the partner banks -UBA, Standard Chartered Bank or Ecobank and their nationwide branches. Customers can also use ZAP to top up their airtime, send and receive money and pay for goods and services in shops. The service is protected through a state-of-the-art security application and customers’ money is always safe, as a password is needed for every transaction carried out.
