As part of its social responsibility initiatives, Happy FM has organised a clean-up exercise at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.
The joint exercise between No. 1 Sports radio station Happy98.9FM and Zoomlion brought together several people including listeners, staff, presenters and management of Happy FM as well as staff of Zoomlion who helped to clean the compound of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital. The exercise forms part of the tall list of socially responsible activities to mark Happy FM’s 7th anniversary celebrations.
Station Manager of Happy 98.9FM Bismark Brown said “Good health is important. We chose the Accra Psychiatric Hospital because we want to make the inmates feel that they are thought of and cared about. They are our brothers and sisters and we cannot afford to ignore their health. We are grateful to Zoomlion and all who participated in this important exerciseâ€.
Ama Aboagye Tagoe, a Happy FM listener said “I am so happy that I came with Happy FM to clean up the hospital today. This is the first time I have involved myself in such activity and I want to thank Happy FM for this opportunity â€.
Happy Sports, a daily sports magazine programme on Happy FM has won Radio Programme of the Year 2009 in the recently held Chartered Institute of Marketing – Ghana (CIMG) awards. Happy FM has previously won several awards including The Football Station of the Year in 2008 and the Station of the Year consecutively in 2005 and 2006.
The Happy FM Keep Fit Festival will come off on Saturday at the El Wak Satdium in Accra. The annual event promises to bring together several people including keep fit clubs, clients and fans of Happy FM any other persons interested in sports to make the event the biggest sporting event of the year.
