Zain Ghana has rolled out a bouquet of three new consumer products designed for its pre-paid customers to re-strengthen its commitment of putting consumers on the driving seat at all times.
The products, ‘Free Night Calls’, ‘Payback’ and ‘Friends and Family’, allow Zain pre-paid customers to control their spending patterns, increase their talk time and get rewarded with bonus credits for receiving calls on their lines.
Announcing the introduction of the impactful packages, the company’s Director of Marketing, Mr. Oare Ojeikere, said “the Zain brand is built on the value that consumers need quality products and services round the clockâ€.
He said that for every product development embarked upon by Zain, “the value offer for the customer remains our driving force because we are in the business of giving them telecommunications experience that is not only delightful, but second to noneâ€.
“With these three packages all in one basket, we have made it easier for children to reach their parents especially when they are in school; loved ones reaching out to one another and business associates staying in touch with latest developments, among several other opportunities because this is a win-win situation for us in Zain and our esteemed customers on the other handâ€, Ojeikere added.
Explaining the mechanisms of the new set of packages, the Manager, Products and Payphones, Mr. Tara Squire, said the Free Night Calls service will enable customers who talk for just 15p or more before 11:59 pm every day, to talk free of charge from 12 midnight to 5am. In addition, customers can also take advantage of the available off-peak tariff of 1p from 10pm to 11:59pm.
For Call Credit Bonus, Squire said Zain decided to reward customers for the simple reason of receiving calls on their Zain numbers.
According to him, customers get a whopping 10% bonus of the value of all calls they receive from a Zain line and 3% bonus of the value of all calls they receive from other networks. The bonus credits that accrue to a customer can only be used for Zain to Zain calls (on-net) and is valid for 7 days. He added that customers would receive all accrued bonuses every Monday and advised customers to check their balance by dialing *133*10#.
Interestingly, Friends and Family offers customers a window of opportunity to select and talk to first 5 special people of their choice at astonishing 45% discount or 6.6Gp of Zain regular tariff with no subscription fee. Also, there is a benefit of 50% discount for SMS sent to any of the 5 selected numbers because each SMS will cost only 0.02p.
To add numbers to the Friends and Family list, customers are to dial 130 and follow the voice prompt. Because the service provides customers the choice to change any or all of these numbers and replace with others for a cost of 25p per change.
The introduction of the new package is very timely because it is coming shortly after Zain rested it Live Your Dream Promotion were its doled out over GHC 800,000 to its customers for their loyalty to the brand.
In addition, the company is currently running an amazing internet bundle offer where data subscribers can get a 4GB of data and a 3.5G Internet free dongle for only GHC 60. This has enabled customers to browse on their Smartphones, laptops and desktops in their offices and homes.
The three product offerings according to Ojeikere, “is coming at the right time because customers are continuously seeking for ways to stay connected with family, friends and business associates no matter what it takes and Zain in keeping with its promise of a wonderful world, has just answered their callâ€.
