The First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has called on the electorate to vote massively for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia come December 7, for the continuity and economic prosperity of the county.
She also called on the electorate to vote for NPP parliamentary aspirants to help continue the good work of the government.
The First Lady made the call at a campaign programme in the Ablekuma Central Constituency where she joined the parliamentary aspirant, Jefferson K. Sackey, to outline his vision for women in the constituency.
She said it was only by voting for the NPP that the good intention of the party for the country could be achieved.
Mrs Akufo-Addo said by voting for the NPP led by Dr Bawumia, Free SHS, Agenda 111 among other projects could be continued.
She said the NPP was a party that could fulfil its campaign promises and, therefore, called on the women present to be ambassadors of the party and propagate the good work of the party to all electorate so they would not be deceived.
Mrs Akufo-Addo called on residents of Ablekuma Central Constituency to vote massively for Mr Sackey as he was young and vibrant and had the good of the people at heart.
She said voting otherwise in both the presidential and parliamentary elections was going to set the country back in terms of development and, therefore, asked them to vote wisely.
She called on all well-meaning Ghanaians to put their trust in Dr Bawumia as he would lead the country further into prosperity.
Mr Sackey, for his part, said he had a vision of transforming the well-being of women in the constituency by ensuring they were economically and socially empowered to go about their activities.
He pledged to expand and continue a financing scheme for market women in the constituency when given the mandate to be their MP.
He also pledged to within three months of his assumption of office as MP, complete the second phase of a market project at Sukura, started by the former NPP MP for the area but which was abandoned by the present NDC MP.
Mr Sackey promised to empower more women and the youth in the area to be economically viable through skills training and job creation.
He said the prosperity of women in his constituency was dear to him as women were the cornerstone of the development of every nation.
The First Lady later moved to the Klottey Korle Constituency where the Parliamentary Candidate, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey, urged the electorate to vote for the NPP if they want to continue enjoying good health, education, improved well-being among others
