Dr Komla Dzisi, Rector of Ho Polytechnic, has said the educational institution was opening windows of opportunity for academic and professional progression for its students.
He said as part of the initiative, a team of lecturers from the Ho and Accra Polytechnics "will be going to John Moores University in the UK to work on possible progression route to BSc degree level for students of the Department of Building and Civil Engineering."
Dr Komla Dzisi, who was speaking at the 17th matriculation of 1703 new students of Ho Polytechnic on Friday, said the institution was also establishing a link with the University of Teesside, UK, for Distance Learning in Oil and Gas Industry.
He said four students of Ho Polytechnic were in the USA undertaking a one-year academic programme.
Dr Dzisi advised the students to abide by rules and regulations of the Polytechnic adding "Do not keep your problems to yourself and suffer in
silence".
The Chairman of the Polytechnic Council, Prothe students to take advantage of the congenial atmosphere in the Polytechnic to score excellent academic marks.
He reminded the students the rules of the Polytechnic included avoidance of occultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing and peddling of rumours.
