The Ghana Oil Plantation Development Company (GOPDC), has pledged its commitment to assist in the development the communities within its operational area.
Mr Joseph C.E Inkumsah, Managing Director of the Company, made the promise at the presentation of a Nissan Double Pick-Up valued at GHC 35, 000
to the Kwaebibirem District Assembly to intensify its revenue mobilization.
The donation was made at the request of the assembly to GOPDC to assist it have a reliable means of transport to be able to undertake effective and sustainable sensitizations of the communities on the need to pay rates to the assembly.
Mr Inkumsah asked the people to support initiatives of the company aimed at developing the area.
Mr George Agyeman Duah, the Kwaebibirem District Chief Executive, who received the vehicle, expressed gratitude to the company for responding to their request within a short time.
He said the fulfillment of the request was an indication that GOPDC was
ready to partner the assembly to accelerate the development of the area.
Me Duah promised that the vehicle would be put to good use to increase the revenue of the assembly.
