Nineteen schools at Mumuadu in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region, excelled in last year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and gained admission into Senior
High Schools (SHS).
The Spokesman of the schools, Mr Clement Asare Nkafo told Ghana News Agency at Akim Osino that three private schools namely; Dwenase Preparatory
Junior High School (JHS), Akim Osino Remonance Complex JHS and Eden Preparatory School among the 19 schools that scored 100 per cent.
In the public sector, Mr Nkafo said the Abompeh Salvation Army JHS, which took part in the BECE for the first time also scored 100 per cent.
He said the school had received commendation from the District Directorate of Education.
Mr Nkafo said the achievement came about as a result of hard work by the staff of the various schools and the good rapport among them.
