A signal from the black boxes of the crashed Yemenia A310 airliner has been detected Sunday, pan- Arab al-Arabiya TV reported.
Official French and Comoran sources Sunday said that joint investigation office confirmed the detection of a signal from the black boxes of the crashed jetliner. Search operations are continued to find the debris of the destroyed plane and bodies of victims.
On Tuesday, the Airbus A310 of Yemenia Air, on the way from Yemeni capital of Sana'a to Moroni, crashed in the Indian Ocean only half an hour before reaching its destination, with 153 people on board.
The cause was linked to bad weather, conditions of access to the Comoran airports and the unfavorable conditions of the Yemeni airline. Only a 14-year-old French girl survived.
A helicopter of a U.S. salvage team spotted a huge debris of the Yemenia A310 jet. Earlier reports said that divers recovered parts of the plane's debris. Rescue teams have succeeded on Wednesday to locate one of the plane's two black boxes.
The Yemenia Air is the national airline of Yemen, with 51 percent share held by the Yemeni government and 49 percent by Saudi government.
