Kofi Voemewor, a 22-year-old Togolese labourer, is being sought by the Police for eloping with Enyonam Adzo Biawo, a 15 year-old junior high school student.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Benjamin Dokurugu, Jasikan District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency that Voemewor absconded to Yeviefe in the Republic of Togo with the same victim in November 2008.
He said they were found after three weeks and Voemewor was arrested when he came back to Jasikan and left on bail.
The visibly worried mother of victim, Madam Nora Otempong, told the GNA that the action of Voemewor has deprived her daughter of education.
She said Enyonam left home at about 0100 hours a month ago and has since not returned.
Madam Otempong is appealing to the public to volunteer information leading to the discovery of her daughter who is believed to be hiding in Accra.
