Mr Paul A. Ayamga, Headmaster of Kongo Senior High School (KOSHIS) in Talensi-Nabdam District, on Tuesday appealed to Mr Mark Woyongo, Upper East Regional Minister for the early completion of the school's new building.
He said the deplorable state of the old buildings was affecting teaching and learning that had compelled the students to rent accommodation at Kongo Township.
Mr Ayamga made the appeal when conducting the Ghana News Agency (GNA) round the old girls dormitory that lost its roof during a rainstorm and some other leaking buildings of the school at the old site at Kongo.
He said during inspection of on-going projects in the school, he commended the contractors and urged them to endeavour to complete the 12-classroom storey block being undertaken by management of Gamson Light Construction company, the girls dormitory being undertaken by management of Koga Welding and Construction both based in Bolgatanga for the students and staff.
Mr Ayamga said the school needed a library, dinning hall, bungalows for tutors, a KVIP place of convenience, bore-hole, assembly hall, provision of electricity, a bus and an administration block.
He appealed to the Talensi-Nabdam District Assembly and NGOs operating in the Region to assist the school.
