The European Union (EU) will give Myanmar humanitarian assistance of 40.5 million euros (52 million U.S. dollars) this year, the latest Weekly Eleven journal reported.
Of the total, 22 million euros will be spent for those who had suffered disastrous cyclone Nargis last year, while the rest 18.5 million euros will be used for people who have difficulties with their living, the report said.
EU has been providing Myanmar with humanitarian assistant since 1994, it added.
Meanwhile, a Malaysian humanitarian organization, the Mercy Malaysia, will rebuild a dozen healthcare facilities in Dedaye, one of Myanmar's cyclone-hit areas in the southwestern Ayeyawaddy division, according to earlier report.
The healthcare facilities in 12 villages include two station hospitals, two rural health centers, eight sub-rural health centers.
These projects along the coastline are expected to complete in a few months.
