THE Indigenous Poultry Farmers Association of Ghana (IPFAG) on Monday presented a certificate of recognition to the Northern Regional Minister, Mr. Ali Adolf John Mburidiba, for his immense contribution to the growth and development of the association from the regional level to a national scale.
The National President of IPFAG, Mr. Issifu Basideen, presented the certificate to the minister and highlighted the pivotal role he played in the association’s expansion and success across the region and the country.
Mr. Basideen explained that IPFAG initially operated solely at the regional level, and it was the minister’s support, encouragement, and interventions that enabled the association to gain nationwide attention.
He expressed gratitude to the minister for his kindness, resilience, and commitment to ensuring the survival and sustainability of IPFAG at all levels in Ghana.
“The support of the minister is a huge contribution to enhancing indigenous poultry farming across the country, empowering farmers, and strengthening the poultry value chain,” he stated.
He added that IPFAG would continue to work with stakeholders in the poultry industry to ensure that their initiatives reach every part of the country. The president also appealed to the Northern Regional Minister to maintain his support for the association.
In response, the Northern Regional Minister, Mr. Ali Adolf John Mburidiba, thanked the association for honouring him with the certificate, describing it as a motivation to do more for IPFAG and the agricultural sector in the region and nationwide.
Mr. Mburidiba reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting IPFAG initiatives and to promote indigenous poultry farming to improve livelihoods and contribute to national food security.
He noted that this recognition marked a significant milestone in the relationship between IPFAG and regional authorities. The minister also called on IPFAG leadership to deepen their collaboration with the government and farmer-based organisations to advance agricultural development in Ghana.
Mr. Mburidiba, however, urged the association to focus more on its core activities to realise its founding goals and objectives.
