The Bank has donated two thousand (2,000) copies of Mathematics Revision Books worth Eighty Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh?80,000.00) to the Ministry of Education in support of government’s flagship Free Senior High School programme. This was in response to a request by the Ministry for the bank to help government address the poor results being recorded lately in the SHS Core Mathematics examinations nationwide.
The Revision Mathematics Books according to the ministry would help the students develop interest in the subject as the books provide a plethora of questions students could attempt solving thereby, enhancing proficiency in the subject.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Ministry, the Hon. Minister for Education Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh said government is poised to “making Ghana a mathematics-friendly country because without mathematics, we cannot get anywhere as a country.” He expressed hope that, the textbooks would inspire students to study mathematics for a brighter future.
