About 51 trainees including a woman on Friday passed out from Skilled Training and Employment Programme (STEP) initiated by the Ministry of Manpower Development and Employment in Sunyani.
Mr Adu Ayeh, Principal of the Community Development Technical Instituted Centre for the Programme, said the training was aimed at reducing the unemployment rate in the country and also check the rural-urban migration.
The trainees went through six months practical training on Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installation, block-laying and concreting.
He stressed that the training would create jobs since they could now establish their own businesses.
Mr Sylvester Hodgi, Regional Director of Community Development urged the trainees to organize themselves into groups so that they could access financial assistance from the Assembly.
Miss Freda Ofosuhemaa, 19, the only female who learnt block laying and concreting, expressed her appreciation to the government for initiating such programme for the youth.
