The National Investment Bank (NIB) on Friday 8th June, 2018 visited the Awutu Camp Prisons with a medical team led by Dr. Humphrey Narh (of the
NIB Clinic). The team screened and treated over one hundred and fifty (150) inmates and prison’s officers, of various health conditions.
The gesture which was aimed at helping the facility address some of its health challenges, also saw the donation of food items for the upkeep of
inmates.
The inmates and officers were thankful and delighted at the gesture saying it was timely, as most of the inmates were grappling with a range of
health issues due to congestion.
Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Charles Wordey who led the entire NIB delegation said, NIB deemed it a great privilege to assist the Awutu Camp
Prison upon realization that the facility was deprived of basic health logistics at its infirmary.
