A global award winning technology start up, “Asoriba” has officially launched its church management software and social mobile app to enhance efficiency in church administration and management.
Created by four young Ghanaian entrepreneurs, Asoriba is a unique web and mobile application that enables effective church administration for leaders, and seamless engagement with members via mobile phones (app, USSD and sms. It also makes it easy to pay tithes and offerings from ones’ phone via mobile and electronic cards.
The launch held in Accra attracted top ministers of the Gospel as well as crème de la crème of the technology industry. Nana Opoku Ware Ofori Agyeman-Prempeh who was speaking at the launch said “our product is designed to enable effective church administration for pastors and church leaders, while building an awesome Christian community via its social mobile app with donation features.
He said the app has currently signed up 1,100 churches with 98 per cent from Ghana and a total church membership data base of 69,000. He said Asoriba had two products, a church management software and a mobile app designed to make it easy for the church leader to nourish members by sending daily devotions or prayer points seamlessly via member’s mobile phone.
“This is possible via the Devotional, Media, Podcast and Announcement feature in the Web App. The member, he said would receive notices on his or her Asoriba mobile app or as an SMS. “And in the course of the day, you can listen to a past sermon, which could be audio or video from the Media feature in the mobile App.
“For those who do not have smart phones you can get SMS notifications. In case there is an event happening live, it can be streamed via the mobile app. This means, you will always stay connected to the Word of God and the church service, no matter where you find yourself”, he said.
Bishop Eddy Addy, a founding Bishop of the Lighthouse Chapel International explained that, Asoirba’s innovation only goes to show the abundance of talents available in Africa. He noted that as sons of pastors and church leaders, the four co-founders really understood the challenge with church administration and built the product to solve the challenge.
He quoted Proverbs 27 v 23- 25 “Be diligent to know the state of your flocks because riches are not forever”, adding Asoriba would help Pastors to monitor attendance amongst others to grow their church.
The Reverend Robert Ampiah-Kwofi, the General Overseer of the Global Revival Ministries, who shared a testimony about Asoriba commended the Founders and called on Church leaders to embrace Asoriba to effectively manage their church.
