Christ the King Community Co-operative Credit Union at Anaji in Takoradi in the Western Region on Wednesday donated assorted building wares in support of the community’s police station project.
They comprised 20 bags of cement, 500 concrete blocks and a trip of sand.
Mr. Isaac Sam-Cudjoe, Board Chairman of the Union who presented the items
to Mr. Jones Davis, Assemblyman for the area, said it formed part of their social responsibility.
He said the security of the area was of paramount interest to the Union since it was within its jurisdiction.
Mr. Sam-Cudjoe added that the project when completed would also serve the interest of other businesses, as well as the inhabitants’ safety.
The Assemblyman expressed gratitude to the credit union for the support and called on other associations to come to the community’s aid in order to complete the police station project on time.
