A long standing land dispute between Mr Samuel Awuye, complainant and Alex Ablorh, accused person's father, has compelled the 24-year-old mason, Yaw Adu, to pull a pistol on the complainant.
For that act, Adu was arraigned before a Circuit court in Cape Coast on Wednesday, charged with possessing fire arm without authority.
He pleaded not guilty and has been granted a GH¢ 10,000 bail with one surety to reappear on December 3.
The prosecutor, Chief Inspector Francis Ockom, told the Court presided over by Mr Samuel Asare Nyarko, that the complainant and the accused lived in the same vicinity at Amponsaso, a village near Twifo Hemang.
He said on October 9, the complainant and his wife were returning from a nearby village and on reaching the house of the accused he started to insult them.
Mr Awuye however kept quiet and continued his journey but Yaw then pulled a pistol from his pocket and threatened him, saying; "If you are a
man, stand there and I will shoot you with this pistol".
For fear of his life, Mr Awuye took to his heels and lodged a complaint at the police station.
The police arrested Yaw and a search conducted in his room unveiled a locally manufactured pistol and one live cartridge.
